When it comes to living right, we only think of cleaning up our outward behavior.
We sometimes think in terms of staying away from the "big" sins.
While it is important to present a great outward character, the real problem is what we say and what our hearts are like.
Most of us speak defeat in our lives, which comes from our hearts.
"If it ain't one thing, it's another."
"I'm just getting by."
Those are examples of defeated talk that comes from our hearts.
The way we talk to ourselves and to others needs to be fixed.
The darkness of our hearts needs to be exposed to the light of God's Word and love
So, let us also make sure that what we say and what is on the inside of us is acceptable to God too, not just "squeaky clean" outward behavior.
