I’M BACK 🤍
After a summer that felt like one long whirlwind, 🌪️I’m finally taking a breath and finding my way back here. A summer of therapy. Travel. Big emotions. Family time. Beautiful moments. A few hard moments And everything in between. And if I’m honest…September and getting everyone back into routine, finding my flow in the rat race can leave me a little overwhelmed at times, I would say it’s my hardest time of the year🥹 Sometimes when life gets busy, we put ourselves at the bottom of the list. We tell ourselves we’ll come back to ourselves when things settle down. We can get so busy we lose sight of what’s important But what if this is the season we stop waiting for life to be less busy?🤔 What if we learn to find little moments of calm in the middle of the chaos? That’s what Chosen is about 🥰 Not perfect parenting. Not having it all figured out. Not pretending the hard days don’t exist. It’s about choosing how we show up on the path we’ve been given. So… I’m back. 🫶🏼 And I’m excited to reconnect, refocus and remind you that you matter too. Parenting full stop never mind parenting on a different path can be exhausting… …but you were never meant to walk it feeling empty. 🤍 Let’s do this next chapter together. ✨
An attitude of gratitude 💕
Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan. 🩶 Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is perfect….. it’s about choosing to notice what is good, even in the middle of what feels hard. There will always be things we wish were different. But when we shift our focus from what’s missing to what we have, our perspective changes. Choose gratitude. Even on the hard days. Especially on the hard days. 🙏✨

Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️
The grief no one talks about 🥹
The day your child receives a diagnoses (for us it was with a rare genetic condition) or the day when you realise your child is travelling a different path can be the beginning of a grief you never expected 💔 It’s grieving the child you had visualised & the future you had imagined. The milestones you thought would come easily. It’s the “what ifs.” & the “why us?”🥹 It’s mourning the life you thought your child would have, while learning to navigate a path you never planned and would never have chosen. I can remedy this overwhelming feeling of sadness ❣️ And here’s the part that can feel confusing… You can love your child with every part of your heart and still grieve them! ❤️‍🩹 Those two feelings can exist together. Grief doesn’t mean you love your child any less ( I loved my son so much I just wanted him to have a ‘normal’ life). It means you’re processing the loss of the life you imagined, while embracing the beautiful child who is right in front of you. Over time, the grief softens. It doesn’t disappear completely (& you will find yourself at times wondering what it must be like for your friends with kids who aren’t on this path) but it makes room for acceptance, hope, joy, and a love deeper than you ever knew was possible.🧡 If you’re in those early days, please know this: Your feelings are valid. You are not alone and in my opinion it’s essential to feel all of these feelings in order to become a much stronger version of you. Freedom, healing and acceptance will come when you completely surrender and let go of what might have been, embrace what is and look forward to what can be. I promise you it won’t be easy but it will be worth it - your child chose you 🥰 One breath.💚 One day.💜 One step at a time. 💛 Sending you all much love on your journey G
