Empowered Voices was born from 17+ years of standing in front of kids who deserved more than posters, assemblies, and empty anti-bullying promises. I’m Kayla Lospalluto—a special education teacher who has spent nearly two decades working with emotionally disturbed students, trauma-impacted youth, and children who live in the gray areas adults constantly miss. After watching too many kids stay silent, too many bullies slip through cracks, and too many schools use systems that don’t match real behavior, I built a curriculum that actually teaches kids the emotional skills, confidence, communication, boundaries, and self-awareness they need to break the cycle. Empowered Voices is raw, trauma-informed, realistic, and designed from real classroom experience—not theory. I created it because kids deserve tools, not slogans, and because the right skills can change a child’s entire life.
