Today, I just want to gently remind you…
Self-care doesn’t have to look like a full routine, a plan, or something extra to add to your day.
Sometimes self-care looks like:
– lowering your expectations
– taking something off your list instead of adding to it
– sitting down for a few minutes without doing anything
– choosing rest without guilt
Especially when life feels full or overwhelming.
It’s not always about doing more…
sometimes it’s about doing less, more intentionally.
---
This is what self-care has looked like for me…
Yesterday, it looked like tidying the house before I went out, so I could come back to a calm space.
Today, it’s been having a little bit of a lie in while my son is at my parents’ 🤍
It’s also been doing a quick tidy downstairs, so that later we can just come home, relax together, and have a cosy movie night.
And this morning, it’s been sitting with a hot cup of tea, having breakfast, and ticking off a few small admin bits… like ordering the dog’s food and sorting school shoes.
Little things that help future me feel a bit more supported.
---
So today, I’d love you to gently ask yourself:
What would feel supportive for me today… not what should I be doing?
Even one small moment counts 🤍
---
If you feel like sharing, I’d love to know…
What has self-care looked like for you this week?
