Government Shutdowns Don’t Stop God’s Provision
Every time the government threatens to shut down, the world panics. People worry about paychecks, food stamps, healthcare, and “what’s next.” But God’s people were never meant to depend on government systems for survival — we were called to live under His divine economy. When Israel followed the Law of Tithing — giving the first tenth back to God — there was no lack among them. The storehouses were full. The priests were cared for. The widows, orphans, and strangers were fed. It was a self-sustaining nation within a nation — God’s Kingdom economy operating independently of man’s systems. If the Body of Believers truly honored the tithing law, we would have our own institutions, schools, food programs, healthcare systems, and community infrastructure. We wouldn’t be shaken every time the government stops. Our stability would rest on the eternal covenant of provision. This is the time to realign with the Kingdom system. The government may shut down — but Heaven never does. Let’s rebuild what God intended from the beginning: a people sustained by obedience, faith, and divine order. “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing…” — Malachi 3:10
