Great job to everyone who joined last night's coaching call! Here are the biggest lessons we covered:
โฝ Argentina's Winning Mentality
One of the biggest takeaways was how Argentina responded after conceding a goal.
Instead of forcing the game, they stayed calm, trusted their style of play, and continued circulating the ball until the right opportunities appeared.
Remember: Great teams don't panic. They stay patient and trust the process.
๐ง Off-the-Ball Movement
We also looked at Lionel Messi's impact even when he wasn't touching the ball.
His movement forced defenders to stay occupied, created space for teammates, and made Argentina much more dangerous in attack.
Your movement without the ball is just as important as what you do with it.
๐ช Winning the Second Ball
Argentina consistently won second balls and kept their attacks alive.
Don't assume the play is over after the first pass, shot, or cross. The next action often decides who controls the game.
๐ New Weekly Homework
Starting this week, every player should have a notebook and pen ready for each coaching call.
Every session will include 2 to 3 action assignments designed to help you improve outside of training.
This Week's Assignment
Buy a small notepad & pen
Ask your coach this simple question:
"Coach, what do I need to improve the most right now?"
Write down exactly what they tell you and bring those notes to our next coaching call.
This will help you:
- Build better communication with your coaches.
- Understand what you need to improve.
- Create a clear plan for your development.
The players who improve the fastest are the ones who actively seek feedback and take action on it.
See you all at the next coaching call! ๐โฝ
