Made some fried catfish and what was supposed to be to be hush puppies with coleslaw. When I fried the catfish the first batch was breaking apart when I first picked it up. For the second batch I cooked it longer and it stayed in place so I think the first batch wasn’t cooked long enougj or hot enougj. Regardless they both really tasted good but I cooked the first batch longer. Those puffy things, they were suppose to be hush puppies but when I followed the recipe it didn’t get as thick as the video for some reason. I ended up trying to fry it but it fried like funnel cake and ended up puffy. They actually still stay good but just don’t have the hush puppy consistency. Coleslaw came from a bag.
