December 2025
Before we can plant the seeds of Sovereignty (winning the battle for YOUR free will), we must first take a look at the soil those seeds will rest within. Now’s a good time for that work.
The Farmer’s Almanac offers advice based on cycles of the moon. Seems reasonable to me based on experience, so my foundation is built on the moon cycles.
The next seed planting phase begins December 20th. We have time to prepare, and it’s important not to skip the preparation phase.
For the first three days of December, your task is to examine what is in alignment with your will. Start by refining your daily routines and honing the skills you already employ daily. You can choose one small thing to focus on. I began with a spiritual practice every morning.
From there, it’s basically task-stacking. The skills you possess will become obvious the more you repeat this monthly cycle, so don’t worry if you can’t immediately identify which skill to hone.
Bonus Tip: Crying releases hormones essential to mental and emotional health:
- Endorphins
- Oxytocin
- Prolactin
- Cortisol
- and more! (See the cited sources at the end for links.)
From the 5th through the 10th, focus on what your goals are and express gratitude daily. Even if it’s just one goal and one thing for which you are grateful, make this a daily practice. Take a caveman's perspective on abundance. Imagine how impressed a troglodyte would be to have all the things we have.
Even better if it’s just one small thing. That’s sustainable, and that’s the goal. Seeds take time to grow roots. Gardens take time to grow and bloom.
Trust the process. One goal you can think about every day. One thing you are grateful for every day. It can be the same thing every day. It’s okay and even good to start small because that’s how we build a lasting structure. Start looking at abundance like a caveman.
As you focus on goals and gratitude, anything that is out of alignment will surface. Make a note. Hand writing in a journal every day is ideal because it signals your brain to pay attention. Use whatever method works for you, but there’s science backing that one.
On the 11th, write down one thing you need to release: anger, resentment, fear, a specific moment that keeps replaying in your head. How much of what you believe was planted there by someone who wanted you isolated, ashamed, quiet, compliant, and defeated? Dig out those corrupt seeds.
Not all seeds are viable for bearing fruit. Ever grow a tomato plant? Take out the suckers, the little offshoots, and you end up with bigger and tastier fruit because the fruit isn't competing for resources. Same principle here. You can leave those seeds, those suckers, and you'll have a higher yield. But at what cost?
If you're struggling with someone else's narrative of you, integrate a belief I rely on: the Infinite Gaze. (Not whatever version Google returns, but something I came by on my own.) God experiences us through each other. He is experiencing you (and how people treat you) through a filter of your experience. If someone is treating you poorly, it's not just being witnessed: it's being experienced exactly how you experience it.
"His eye is on the sparrow; I know he watches me."
God already took care of it. Resentment is a waste of resources. You have better things to do. You cannot change the hearts and minds of others, but you must never underestimate the power of planting a seed. *Especially* when the seed is to change YOUR heart and mind to ultimately win the battle for your God-given free will.
If you’re using the Tend Your Well daily tarot spread to identify core beliefs that are no longer serving your best interest, it can be a belief you want to let go of. Write it on a small scrap of paper then burn (safety first) or bury it. From the 12th through the 18th, surrender. Just rest. This period of rest is sacred work, too. Tend your well daily, seedlings need water but not much. This is a time to introduce self-care into your daily routine.
My thing is a hot bath every night before bed in Epsom salt, and I stay in there forever! The warm water activates your parasympathetic system, helping you relax. The Epsom salt works as a spiritual or energetic cleansing for me. Call it what you will, but I don’t sleep at night (and I mean at all) if I skip my nightly soak.
“Adding Epsom salt might make you feel like you're doing something extra special for yourself. This psychological effect, called the placebo effect, is actually quite powerful. If you believe something will help you, it often does help, even if we don't fully understand why.”
We do understand why: confirmation bias. You’ll hear me mention that often. It works because when you tell your brain what to believe, it will actively seek evidence to support that belief. And when you’re fighting a battle for your free will, that battle is fought entirely over your beliefs. Use confirmation bias to your advantage.
If you use Epsom salt every night, make sure you moisturize well. I like Palmer’s Shea Butter Oil with a bit of ylang ylang essential oil for my body. During the first few days before my period begins, I switch to castor oil with ylang ylang for my tummy, hips, and lower back.
Bonus tip: castor oil works great in place of deodorant. It won’t stop you from sweating (which I believe is a good thing, sweating is a healthy and necessary bodily function), but it does provide an environment in which stinky bacteria struggle to thrive. Castor oil is your friend.
By the time the 19th rolls around, you’ll have a clean slate day for planning. You’re going to plant seeds from the 20th through the 26th, but even if you feel like diving in, don’t skip this step. “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” On this day, take some time to write down what needs to go and what you need to integrate into your daily routine.
What worked for you so far this month? What’s one thing that you can take off your plate, either by eliminating it entirely or delegating the task to someone else?
Then starting on the 20th, set your intentions (plant your seeds). I like affirmations for this. YMMV.
Example: If I’m not okay with something, I’m not going to pretend I am.
It’s okay if you skip Christmas Day, and even Christmas Eve. I like small, sustainable steps because I don’t have to skip them even when I’m busy, stressed, sick, in pain, etc. But no one, literally no one, gets a say in you taking some time off, even from this. Pick up wherever you’re at in the cycle when you’re ready. It’s all good.
The important thing to remember is this: Commit to the journey. The boat is here for you. You just have to get on board.
On the 27th, you may meet with some resistance. That’s to be expected. Push past obstacles or find a way around them. Even if you can only hold the ground in your mind, do so. If something isn’t okay, keep tending that seed until you can do something about it.
And on the 28th, the cycle of alignment begins again.
On January 3, 2026, the first full moon of the new year will occur. THAT is the time to make your New Year’s Resolutions. I know what tradition says, and I don’t care. The Wolf Moon, in Cancer, is the perfect time to focus on your inner voice, family foundations, and emotional security. Align with the Universe so it will work with you.
On Harvest Day (January 3, 2026), go back and review the seeds you planted. There’s a reason I call it Harvest Day, and it has become an exciting time for me each month. You’ll see.
I’d love to hear from you in the comments. Does this method work for you? Have you made any tweaks (encouraged!)? Does the process itself present any obstacles?
I’m here to teach, but to be an effective educator I must always be willing to learn as well. I learned what worked for me, so I’m sharing that. But every individual is different, and now I want to help YOU. Any constructive feedback is greatly appreciated.
Happy gardening!
