Pine needle baskets
I joined the ‘Domestic Skills Group’ at Dudley Farm State Park near by in Newberry, Fl.
All their pine needle basket weavers have passed away, or can’t physically or mentally participate due to aging. I decided to pickup the torch!
I have several foraging spots for extremely loooong pine needles, perfect for coiled basketry.
School field trips, Scout troops, and other visitors will be able to ask questions, try their hands at the craft, and learn about the past. I am happy to be of service to them.
