Who's made natural dye?💐
Found a good video on getting into natural dye ! Have you tried this? Let me know in the comments!

@Jade Adams Indigo only dyes what it can see. These are significant words. Indigo is quite different from all other plant dyes. I promise I will share more soon. Going through medical stuff at the moment.
A small something
A lavender shortbread cookie with a latte. ‘ Urban-Foraged’ (Totally capitalistic consumerism) but all was not lost I spotted James, a UF student, studying, and touched his shoulder inquiring how he was. He shared difficulty recalling information during exams… I asked “Do you know about ‘Rosemary For Remembrance’ ? He said ?!?! I explained, encouraging him to fact check it, and added that it also works with Lavender or Mint. Cotton-ball with a drop of essential oil in pocket to whiff during exams (must be same scent as used during studying!)

I smashed it, NO Lavender stain. A while later, I doubled checked to confirm. Just moisture making paper transparent in sunlight. Two fresh specimens growing near where they were in Autumn. Like many Floridian species, Just bloom whenever conditions feel right, there aren’t seasons here in the traditional sense.

@Melanie Weird Thank you for sending the video my way. This was very helpful.
What would you start?
If you knew you were about to have a lot more land to plant stuff what would you plant? What would you start winter sowing now?

This is one of the best questions to spark hopes & dreams of the heart. I would love to create a food forest. I would love to be the caretaker of a botanical garden! I would include mostly natives. An activity-nature center for visitors to enjoy. Some U-pick areas to generate enough income to pay the land taxes. Perhaps a few acres of community gardens so others can grow their food too.

Here's an easy way to narrow down what kind of tree you're looking at by just the branches.

Lover of Long-leafed pines. Pockets bulging with forest & seashore finds. I am learning from nature’s reciprocity and resilience.
