Ok, so, I am in an eating disorder recovery program and one of the main 'rules' of the program is to stop tracking calories and weighing myself all the time, so understandably, I gained a lot of weight. Most of my clothes don't fit properly anymore and breathing is difficult, but gaining weight was expected as I had been restricting for so long. My body needed time to recover and stabilize.
I have been eating largely the same thing since the end of december:
Breakfast: 2-3 eggs over easy, 1/4 block of spam, 2 slices buttered toast
Lunch: Instant noodles or a microwave meal
Dinner: takeout pizza or grilled cheese or chicken fingers and fries
Snacks: rice crackers and homemade hummus or apple and peanut butter or toast with jam and peanut butter
Occasionally I will supplement with a boost if my body needs the extra fuel (say I have a day where I am out all day, or I have a full day of cleaning). It is the high protein one and sometimes what I will do is replace breakfast or lunch with the massive berry/boost/protein powder smoothie that has a whopping 44g of protein.
This brings us to the win:
I AM FINALLY LOSING WEIGHT BECAUSE MY BODY IS SETTLING INTO ITS WEIGHT NEUTRAL STATE!!!
i haven't weighed myself but the sweater I wear all the time that was too small to fit over my stomach now sits nicely. I thought at first my sweater had stretched so I put on my jacket which had also been tight and I found that was also looser than previously!
I know what I'm eating isn't weight loss ideal. Right now I am working on feeding myself well. My task starting in April is to feed myself a high protein diet on $50/week and two small meals/day from meals on wheels. Once I am eating more protein then I will focus on going back to the gym.
Anyone else have a win recently?
