I used to feel like Goldilocks when setting goals. Some goals feel too big 🐘 while others feel too small 🐁 I was stuck between SMART goals and DUMB goals. Both methods had merits, but neither quite fit my purpose as a business owner 😭 They provided some clarity and direction āž” but they missed some of the energy ⚔ and motivation šŸ’Ŗ I felt I needed in order to take action. As many of my clients were struggling with the same challenge, I set about creating something that was 'Just Right' 🄣 ✨ It's called DREAMS Goals ✨ šŸŽ™ In this week's podcast episode, I introduce you to this goal setting concept and how it bridges the gap between SMART and DUMB goals. šŸŽ§ You can listen to the full episode by searching 'Driven Female Entrepreneur' on your favourite podcast platform, or click the link below šŸ‘‡ šŸŽÆ It's just a 17 minute listen, but it might be just what you need to set clear and motivating goals for your business. One client loved the concept so much, she suggested I turn it into a book! So, once you've listened, do come back and let me know in the comments šŸ‘‡ here what you think of the DREAMS Goals concept - I'd love to hear your insights! Happy goal setting! https://www.melittacampbell.com/post/dreams-goals

I really enjoyed our Action Networking event today. It was interesting to see that despite having very different businesses and being spread around the world, just how much we have in common in terms of our key challenges and goals. Like... šŸ‘‰ Taking time over the summer to focus on the family, and then get back to our business goals and focus now. šŸ‘‰ Getting more visible without feeling awkward or overwhelmed. šŸ‘‰ Finding out just what works when it comes to getting our businesses in front of the right people consistently, and šŸ‘‰ Keeping imposter syndrome at bay! So many great ideas were shared. And it was wonderful to hear about those who were able to join live found it a valuable and empowering experience. Even if you couldn't join live 😭 ... You can still be part of the discussion 😃 Share in the comments: āœļø Your Summer Successes āœļø Your core Focus for the Autumn months, and āœļø Any questions you have or support you need to help you achieve your goals for the next month. I look forward to continuing the discussion! Melitta x P.S. If you would like to discuss your plans with me and get some help to take your next steps, you can book a call with me here

I loved our Masterclass on: The Secrets of Confident Niching yesterday, and I'm not alone. All those who were present (and those who have watched the replay already) all confirmed that it was packed with helpful insights, practical advice and in just 45 minutes significantly shifted the way they think about niching. Want to watch? Here's the replay: https://youtu.be/SCeoOT2Xyws?si=cby154BBmy8uHbVL I've edited out the chit chat, long pauses and doggy disruptions, so you can enjoy all the good stuff ; ) Once you've watched, let me know in the comments what your biggest take-aways are or if you have any questions. P.S. don't miss the podcast tomorrow when I'll be giving an extended answer to two of the questions asked during the masterclass: 1) how to attract clients when you don't have a proven reputation yet? and 2) how can you know if you've got your niche right?

In the world of entrepreneurship, finding your niche is often hailed as the golden ticket to success. We're even warned: ā€œNiche or Die!ā€. But is that really true? If so, what is a niche exactly, and how can you find your perfect niche? You've asked so many great questions on niching ahead of Tuesday's masterclass on the topic, I wanted to already dive in and address some of them in my podcast. So in today's episode, I tackle these questions head-on, delving into the intricate world of niching. ā€ Don't miss this episode to learn all about niching and to uncover answers to the burning questions that have been on your mind. And I’ll share real-world case studies and success stories that showcase the power of a well-defined niche. Listen to this week's show here: https://www.melittacampbell.com/post/niching-episode

We had a great start with Pitch Fest event on Tuesday. And I have two more great events to invite you to next week! ⭐ 1) The Future of Blogging Summit (11-15 September) Did you know that: * 77% of people regularly read blogs online? and * 61% of online users say they have made a purchase after reading a blog post? There is clearly still a lot of power in this marketing tool! Discover exactly how to start and grow a successful blog that builds your business and brand during the Future of Blogging Summit. I'll be there speaking about how to create clients through your blog, and how to use it as a powerful part of your sales strategy. Don't miss that session! And I'll be joined by 20 other leading marketing experts. Claim your free ticket here > ⭐ 2) Create Extraordinary Community-Building Events (11-14 September) When you find the right platform and tribe for your message, you can create an unparalleled opportunity to generate value, build your brand and grow your audience and customer-base. But there are so many questions as to how building the right community, the right way, in the right place. This summit aims to answer them all! I'll be sharing how you can communicate your true value to your community with authenticity, and there will be a dozen other thought leaders sharing their insights and expertise. Claim your free ticket here > Each event shares valuable insights and advice to help you grow your audience and business. BUT... šŸ‘‰ TIP: How to get all the value without over investing your time and energy I'm aware that with events of this kind, there are a LOT of sessions and it's not possible to attend them all. So here's my advice: register for the events, but before looking at what sessions are on offer, think back to your business and personal development priorities between now and the end of the year. Then, only tune in for those sessions that relate to those topics.

Today, we have the first Pitch Fest event since the summer, so I thought I'd share some tips around how to talk about your business. Doing so in a way that feels natural and leads prospects to say: "OMG, I need that - tell me more!" can be a struggle. But it's a vital skill to have - if you can't introduce your business, then you will miss out on many great opportunities and clients! Here are 3 things to try out ... šŸ‘€ SHARE YOUR WHY + VISION Instead of talking about what you do today, talk about what compelled you to start (your Why), and what you'd love to see change as a result (your Vision). You'll leave people feeling inspired and the storytelling required will make your introduction (and business) memorable. 😊 START A CONVERSATION It's most often at networking events (on and off-line) when we get to introduce your business out loud. So why not start a conversation rather than launching into a pitch? e.g. "Have you ever noticed how (ideal client) tends to struggle with (add the problem you solve), and this causes them to (pain point(s))?" ... response ... "Well, that's where I come in..." šŸŽ TALK ABOUT YOUR RESULTS People aren't really interested in you or what you do per se. At least not at first. What they are most interested in is what you can do for them (or their network). So talking about the results people experience get after working with you is far more engaging: "I help business owners confidently and naturally communicate the true value of what they do, so they can work with more and better quality clients." COME TRY IT OUT At this afternoon's Pitch Fest event (1pm BST, 2pm CEST), you'll get the chance to practice your introduction and get feedback to help you improve. You have just one minute to talk, so there is no need to overthink or over prepare and it's the perfect time to try out one of the options above and see how it feels for you. See Events section for all the details.

I'm about to start putting together a new masterclass on Niching (finding your perfect clients) and I'm curious to know - what are your biggest questions on this topic? The best part? I'll be running this masterclass live for my community, and you'll have a chance to ask me further questions - so watch this space! But first, I'd love to know what I need to cover in this masterclass for you to come away feeling confident and ready to work with more of your perfect-fit clients. Let me know below...

I question I got from @Rosemary Bointon from the community on "how to get set up to use Amazon affiliate links on my blog". Becoming an Amazon Associate (Amazon Affiliate) allows you to earn commissions by promoting Amazon products. It's an easy way to monetize your website, blog, social media, or other online platforms... ...and boost your income. If you're already suggesting products you use/like or want to do that in the future, then Amazon Associate would be an excellent option for you. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to become an Amazon Associate: 1. Sign Up for Amazon Associate Program: - Visit the Amazon Associates website: Go to the Amazon Associates homepage (affiliate-program.amazon.com). - Click on "Join Now for Free" - You'll be prompted to log in with your existing Amazon account or create a new one. - Provide Account Information: Fill in the necessary information, including your name, address, and payment details. - Website and Mobile App Information (if applicable): You'll need to provide information about your website or mobile app, including its name, URL, description, and the topic or niche it covers. 2. Enter Your Website or App List: - If you have a website or mobile app, you'll need to list all the websites and mobile apps you plan to use for promoting Amazon products. - You'll also need to describe how you plan to use the Amazon Associates Program to generate income. 3. Choose Amazon Products to Promote: - After signing up, you can log in to your Amazon Associates account. - Browse Amazon's vast product selection and choose the products you want to promote. You'll get unique affiliate links for each product. 4. Generate Affiliate Links: - For each product you want to promote, use the Amazon Associates dashboard to generate unique affiliate links. These links track the traffic and sales you generate. Use the Amazon Associates SiteStripe to generate Amazon Affiliate links.

Instead of sharing what you are working towards this week - share what you are NOT working on and why. Each week I have three clear priorities, plus my regular daily activities. Everything else is on my Not to Do at Any Cost List - otherwise I risk getting distracted and not getting things done, and ending the week feeling disappointed. What are your primary objectives this week? Mind are to: - Complete and record the final training in my Sales Success Mindset programme - Outline the new and upgraded 'Feel Good Funnels' module for my signature Dream Clients Blueprint programme - Review my TEDx talk draft and book a session with my speaker coach to review next steps. I'm looking forward to hearing your plans for the week! P.S. If you struggle to set weekly priority goals, let me know and I'll send you my one-page system and a video walk-through on how to use it (my gift!).

Over the years, I've seen so many definitions of marketing. Worryingly, recently most of these definitions are all about promotion and getting your business or offer in front of the right people. While this isn't 100% wrong - it misses the most important part of marketing. Marketing as I understand it is: Putting your client at the heart of every decision you make. Therefore, a simple test to see if your marketing is going to work is simply to ask yourself this of everything you create: How will my dream client find this valuable? Your marketing is nothing to do with you, and everything to do with your client. Keep that in mind, and you'll soon be welcoming more of your dream clients into your business. And if you are looking for more guidance to help you attract more of your dream clients with ease and confidence, drop me a DM. I'm here to help!

I'm always telling my clients, that in their communications, before talking about any features of their products or services, they should talk about the bigger picture and what life will be like for them after they have worked with you. So when I came across this quote, it really stood out to me - and it's more that 100 years old! I just goes to show classic wisdom is always relevant as, while the world evolves, people are still people. "If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

If you are planning to use the summer to review your business and work on your mindset and personal growth as you prepare to reach the next level - then Summer Business School could be for you! I'm looking for a select number of people to follow my new DIY programme and provide me with feedback and a testimonial, in return for a significantly reduced price and my personal support. Over six modules, you will: 1: CREATE YOUR FUTURE Your dream business need not be a dream! This module will get you out of the trap of confusing or conflicting goals. Instead, you'll get aligned with your passion, create clear, motivating goals for all aspects of your life, and you'll get the excitement for your business and the impact you are creating back, so you can move forward faster. 2: YOUR VALUE Uncover the secret to running a business with authenticity, integrity and confidence, as you get 100% clear on who you are, where your zone of genius lies and finally believe in the true value that you offer. This is the first step in truly differentiating yourself from the competition. 3: YOUR DREAM CLIENTS When communicating your true value, it’s vital to keep your Dream Clients in mind. Where does your value intersect with their aspirations? Know this, and you’ll know how your business can make the biggest difference. * No more time wasted on marketing that get ignored. * No more failed product launches. * No more wondering what to say or how to say it. Instead, you’ll create value and meaning through your marketing, deliver exceptional results for your clients, and stop giving discounts. 4: YOUR SIGNATURE OFFER Package your value into a compelling signature service offering that not only gives your dream clients exceptional results, but also delivers an experience that they can’t help but talk about - bringing you a growing pipeline of right-fit and ready-to-buy clients. 5: YOUR MAGNETIC MESSAGE Create a powerful, yet straight-forward structure to communicate your value in any situation. This one message will be the foundation of all your communication, from your online presence, to live networking, to speaking events and more, so you are never left wondering exactly what to say.

šŸ›‘ I know that's a hard 'No' from many of the coaches, business owners and entrepreneurs I speak with. Many tell me how stressful it feels or how how much they dislike having to put people under pressure to make a sale 😭. If that's you, don't miss this week's podcast! https://www.melittacampbell.com/post/michelle-rockwood I spoke with Michelle Rockwood, author of 'Joyful Selling' on the podcast this week about: ⭐ What a feminine approach to sales looks like (and how this applies to men and women equally). ⭐ The best way to approach a sales conversation. ⭐ And how the primary purpose of any sales conversation must be to guide the prospect to uncover their own truth, seeing this as the first step in helping them identify their best solution. ✨ If you think you hate sales, Michelle will help you challenge this thinking and move into a more helpful and productive space. šŸŽ§ To listen to this insightful episode, search 'Driven Female Entrepreneur' wherever you usually consume your podcasts, or click this link: https://www.melittacampbell.com/post/michelle-rockwood Happy listening!

According to Dr. Nick Hall, there is no such thing as too much stress. He explains that stress can actually be very good for us. It forms our character, shows us where are strengths lie, helps us become resourceful and resilient. BUT The problems start when our stress isn't balanced out with enough counter-stress activities. Something that allows our minds to relax and have a stretch, and our bodies to recuperate. So if you've had a busy week, it's important to make time over the weekend for joy and relaxation.
