“Stress isn’t just an emotion. It’s a silent performance killer.”
A few months ago, I noticed something strange. Even the smartest, most hard-working medical students around me were struggling. Not with knowledge. Not with exams. But with focus, decisions, and mental energy. So, I decided to turn curiosity into research. 🎯 I conducted a study with 150 MBBS students (ICMR-STS approved) to explore: How much stress they’re really under How they try to cope with it And what impact it has on cognitive performance, using the Stroop Test The results? 🧠 88.6% were in moderate stress 🕒 Poor coping = slower mental response ✅ Better coping = faster, sharper minds Stress alone didn’t break performance. Lack of coping did. We found a clear negative correlation between stress levels and mental efficiency. Whether you're a clinician, student, business owner or leader: This isn’t just about med school — it’s about every high-performance environment. 💡 So I built a framework from our findings: C.O.P.E. ✔️ Check your stress ✔️ Optimize daily rituals ✔️ Protect your decision-making ✔️ Engineer your recovery 📊 Full study: “Association of Perceived Stress & Coping Mechanism with Stroop Test in Medical Students” 🔗 Read the full research here https://www.ijmrp.com/Admin_Portal/Upload/Vol11Issue2/4 IJMRP 11(2) 15-19.pdf https://www.ijmrp.com/Admin_Portal/Upload/Vol11Issue2/4 IJMRP 11(2) 15-19.pdf 💬 Let me know: What’s your go-to coping mechanism when things get heavy? #MentalHealth #MedicalEducation #CognitivePerformance #ICMR #Research #StressManagement #HealthTech #Students #Leadership #Productivity Status of your stress level...
