Day 70 - Mabel

So today we started to do more work on ignoring people. It wasn’t planned but when we got to the field it was busy so it was needed. Mabel was in the trees at the end of the field and a young girl came out of her garden that backed onto the field…. I whistled and she came straight back! Phew! We then walked past them playing football and then walked past a man sat in the field with his dog. All off lead all to heel with treats and leave command. Good start.

We also went to her nemesis field on long line, this is the final place I need to conquer- fields at hambrook…. So many rabbits! Ellie was never bothered but it’s the place I have the least focus from Mabel! We did bits of hunting food/ball and lots of rewarding for check ins and even dropped the lead towards the end. The more we go the better we will get!
