Divine Insight Session 2 - Walk in the light
Upon reflecting on Ephesians 5:8-14, it becomes evident that we are called to live as children of the light. This passage speaks directly to the heart of our Christian journey. St. Paul writes, "For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light." The message seems straightforward, but when truly reflected upon, it reveals a difficult and lifelong journey—one not easily undertaken nor endured until death. Each day, the forces of darkness wage war against us. They seek to destroy who we are, cause division among us, and lead us away from the light of Christ. To live as children of the light is not merely a calling; it is a grand mission. For those of us who understand the gravity of this call, it can feel more like becoming Warriors of Light—fighting daily against evil forces, with Jesus Christ as our strength and guide. So, how does one truly become a child of light? It begins with humility and self-awareness. Humility allows us to recognize that many of our words and actions have been fruitless works of darkness. We may have participated in these deeds without fully realizing it. As for me, I was entangled in such fruitless works for over 28 years—addicted to pornography, filled with malice, stealing, lying, and harboring hatred. The depths of my soul were akin to Sodom and Gomorrah. I was ruled by darkness, though I was blind to it. It wasn’t until God intervened in my life that everything changed. When my wife was on the brink of demonic possession and nearly did something unthinkable, God's immense light broke through. His light cleared out the darkness from both of our souls, and from that moment, we began the journey of walking in the light. The conquest to root out vice had begun, and there was no looking back. Becoming a child of light is no easy task. It requires courage, perseverance, humility—and I repeat, humility, humility—love for God, and above all, an unwavering trust in Jesus Christ. There is no middle ground in faith. You either walk in the light or remain asleep in darkness. St. Paul captures this truth perfectly when he writes:

Divine Insight Session 2 - Walk in the light
Divine Insight Session 1 - Jesus Heals the Blind Man
Hesus Heals a Blind Man at Bethsaida 22They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him. 23He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village. When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?” 24He looked up and said, “I see people; they look like trees walking around.” 25Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. 26Jesus sent him home, saying, “Don’t even go into the village.” Upon reflecting on this passage, I realized the profound love that had been lost to the blind man. I felt a deep sense of abandonment and outcast within my heart for him. I imagined that as a child, he might not have been aware of his blindness until later in life when he became fully conscious of his condition. I also considered the possibility that he was abandoned by his family and loved ones, deepening his turmoil. Yet, it is beautiful to see how God reaches out to the brokenhearted. Out of all the people that day, God sought him out. He was present at the moment when people brought the blind man to Him. Sometimes it is complete strangers who bring others to Christ, but ultimately, it is Christ who draws the lowly to Himself through others, signs, and wonders. As Scripture says, "And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself" (John 12:32). God continuously seeks us out. In my journey toward getting closer to God, He has opened the eyes of my heart, allowing me to discern what is good and evil in the world and within the depths of my heart. It is one thing to see the natural world, but it is another to have our eyes opened spiritually. When we begin to live at a supernatural level, we see things for what they truly are, not just as we initially perceive them. God not only heals the blind but also restores sight to even the most spiritually lost. More importantly, He gives us a glimpse of what is to come, a taste of the abundance of life that awaits us—a restoration of true, unconditional love for all of humanity.

I recently started..
It's been quite recent since I started to actually share my morning prayer insights with others and to my surprise, people are actually moved by some of the things I've written through the Holy Spirit or are given further insights based on the perspective the Lord is giving me through prayer. What are some things you wrestle with in scripture or spiritually?
