The gifts of the spirit!
Do you know what gifts you have? What gifts doe you desire? The gifts of the Spirit are divine endowments bestowed upon believers, enabling them to serve and edify the church. As stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-11, "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good." Let's explore these gifts in the context of love. 1. Wisdom: Just as Solomon's wisdom guided him to make just decisions, the gift of wisdom empowers us to discern God's will and navigate complex situations with love and compassion. 2. Knowledge: Like Paul's deep understanding of God's mysteries, this gift grants insights into spiritual truths, enhancing our ability to teach and guide others in love. 3. Faith: Abraham's unwavering trust in God serves as a model. With the gift of faith, we can inspire others by demonstrating absolute confidence in God's promises and love. 4. Healing: Mirroring Jesus' healing ministry, this gift allows us to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to others, showing God's love through restoration. 5. Miracles: As seen in the apostles' deeds, miracles show God's power and love, breaking through natural boundaries to bring about His purposes. 6. Prophecy: Prophets like Isaiah spoke messages of love and correction from God. With this gift, we can convey divine truths that encourage, console, and guide others in love. 7. Discernment: Just as Jesus perceived the hearts of people, this gift helps us distinguish between spirits, ensuring our actions and decisions are grounded in love and truth. 8. Speaking in Tongues: On the day of Pentecost, the disciples spoke in tongues, communicating God's message to a diverse crowd. This gift enables us to express His love to people of different languages and cultures. 9. Interpretation of Tongues: Similarly, this gift aids in understanding and translating messages spoken in tongues, fostering unity and comprehension among believers. 10. Helps and Administration: Like the servant heart of deacons, these gifts allow us to assist others and organize tasks in a way that reflects God's love and order. 11. Mercy: Reflecting Jesus' compassion, the gift of mercy helps us show kindness and empathy to those who are hurting, extending God's love to them. 12. Giving: As exemplified by the widow's offering, this gift enables us to give generously and sacrificially, sharing God's love through material blessings. 13. Leadership: Just as Paul provided guidance to the early church, this gift equips us to lead with love, serving as examples of Christ's humility and care.

A place of Humility
In Scripture, the threshing floor was a physical place used to separate grain from the husk. Spiritually, it is a place of refining and exposure—where God removes what is no longer useful so the true harvest can come forth. “His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”— Matthew 3:12 (NKJV) God cannot thresh what we refuse to lay down. Humility lays our hearts bare before Him, and says, “Do what You must, Lord.” A Place of Humility: The Beginning of Transformation Transformation always begins with a breaking. In the spiritual realm, that breaking is often symbolized by the threshing floor—a place where the outer husk is removed so the valuable grain within can emerge. But before the threshing can begin, humility must lay the foundation. Without it, there is no surrender, and without surrender, there is no transformation. The Posture of Humility God does not work with the proud. He resists them. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”— James 4:6 (NKJV) Humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but seeing ourselves rightly before a holy God. It’s the moment we fall to our knees and say, “I need You.” That cry is not weakness—it is the doorway to power, because it invites God into our brokenness. David understood this. After his sin with Bathsheba, he did not try to justify himself. He came to God with a shattered spirit: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart—these, O God, You will not despise.”— Psalm 51:17 (NKJV) This is where the threshing floor begins—not with activity, but with authentic surrender.

Clean Hands and Pure Heart
I want to talk to you about the posture of the heart and how we can make room for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives. In our journey of faith, it's essential to cultivate a heart that is open, receptive, and aligned with God's will. In Psalm 51:10, David prays, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." This verse reflects the heart's role as a vessel that needs to be purified and renewed. Just as a gardener tends to the soil to prepare it for planting, we must prepare our hearts to receive the Holy Spirit's presence. This means letting go of sinful desires, selfish ambitions, and any barriers that hinder our connection with God. In Matthew 5:8, Jesus teaches, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." A pure heart is not only clean from sin but also focused on seeking God's face. It's a heart free from hypocrisy and double-mindedness, a heart that desires to please God above all else. As we pursue purity of heart, we create space for the Holy Spirit to dwell within us and guide our thoughts, actions, and decisions. To go deeper in Christ, we can look to the example of Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42. Martha was preoccupied with tasks, while Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet and listen. Jesus commended Mary's choice because she prioritized her heart's posture over her busyness. Like Mary, we must choose to spend time in prayer, studying the Word, and meditating on God's truth. These practices help us align our hearts with Christ and make room for the Holy Spirit's transformative work. Ephesians 4:30 warns us not to grieve the Holy Spirit by our actions and attitudes. Instead, we're urged to "be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). This filling requires surrender and submission, allowing the Spirit to have control over every aspect of our lives. It's not a one-time event but a continuous process of yielding to God's leading., Let us examine our hearts and ask God to reveal any areas that need cleansing and renewal. Let us prioritize a pure heart that seeks God's presence above all else. By making room for the Holy Spirit through prayer, Scripture, and surrender, we can go deeper in Christ and experience the abundant life He promises. May our hearts be vessels of His grace, love, and transformation, shining His light in a world that desperately needs it.
Clean Hands and Pure Heart
Never Hold something to tight
In Genesis 22, God tests the faith of Abraham by asking him to offer his promised son, Isaac, on Mount Moriah. With a surrendered heart, Abraham obeys—trusting that God is faithful even beyond what he can see. At the appointed moment, the Lord provides a ram, revealing that obedience never ends in loss but in divine provision. Beloved, hold nothing so tightly that you cannot place it on the altar. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5–6). When God calls you to surrender, it is never to diminish you but to reveal His greater purpose. “He who did not spare His own Son… how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). Drink the cup He gives you, just as Christ said, “Not My will, but Yours, be done” (Luke 22:42). Through wholehearted obedience comes revelation, provision, and power. What feels like sacrifice becomes the doorway to promise. Stand firm in faith, for “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Resurrection power is never far from surrendered obedience. What you place in God’s hands, He is able to restore, multiply, and glorify. Trust Him fully—He is always working something greater. 🔥♥️
