How to Ask a Good Question: (& get a useful Answer)
If you want clear, helpful advice — context matters. When you post, include: A photo of the space. What’s not working. What you’re considering (if anything). Any constraints (budget, size, timing). The more specific you are, the more precise I can be. Examples of good questions: “Which light works over this table?” “Does this sofa feel too big for this room?” “I’m choosing between these two colours/Tiles/Timber which works better here?” ⚠️ If something doesn’t feel right on site, don’t ignore it. Post it here before it becomes an expensive mistake. 🎯 I’ll give you clear, direct, unbiased advice — based on experience, not trends.

How to Ask a Good Question: (& get a useful Answer)
You think YOUR house needs some TLC.....
Yes I know I live a glamorous life as an interior designer.......but this is how I spend my morning - very cold and wet surveying this (amazing!) house - it has not been lived in or touched for years & it will be a long process to get it anywhere near its former glory - but I guarantee it will get there. So I'm guessing your home isn't in as much need of improvement as this? Here to help! No judgement!

Kitchen lighting question
Hi, I do have a question! I have a lovely - but aging - Kitchen which Eily was very involved in designing almost 18 years ago ❤️. While it works fantastically for us, we think this over-island light has had it's day! We are thinking of replacing with two or three hanging pendant lights. Does that sound like a good idea?! Would love your thoughts! Thank you, Gill

Kitchen lighting question
Need to change:
People delay making decisions in their homes because they’re afraid of getting it wrong. But staying stuck is also a decision. Sometimes the right starting point is simply: “What’s bothering me most in this room?” Too dark? No storage? Feels unfinished? Furniture doesn’t fit? No personality? or - it's just a mess 🙄 That can be the first step in getting everything to improve.
