Sometimes your loved one may say things that aren’t accurate.
Accusations.
Misunderstandings.
Stories that didn’t happen.
This can feel deeply personal, but it usually isn’t.
The brain is trying to make sense of missing information.
So it “fills in the blanks.”
Instead of correcting the facts, try focusing on reassurance:
“I’m here. You’re safe.”
You’re responding to confusion, not teh apparent intent.
