Mindset Reflection
Yesterday, I sat down with a spreadsheet. (I'm a numbers guy for sure.) I mapped out the next 1-3 years of my Bodybuilding journey through periodisation, and some other data of my life.
Periodisation for this is planning months of training blocks for different phases. Anyways, what I am getting at here. Now, I have a black and white plan in front of me, I feel more confident than ever. A man with a plan is the anchor of my story. As long as I have something to focus on, it'll keep me from rocking from path with emotional decisions! It's carrying over into other areas of my life:
  • How I see my self, and becoming more present and proud of myself than ever.
  • Believing in the plan, yes it's going to have it's ups and downs, and it won't be perfect. BUT we pivot where necessary. This IS NOT ALL OR NOTHING THINKING!
  • Every conversation, every rep is EXPERIENCE points to my future image I projected last year.
I'm right where I need to be. Even if I don't find the one right now, or this year. I've set myself up to keep winning. We head upwards from here. Let's do this!
Now for the dating stuff: This week I've been just trying to have conversations with anyone, mostly new people with the catchy comeback (I'm quite witty). I have an opportunity to go out Saturday evening with a local friends making group; The people there aren't my vibe, BUT it gives me practice to try free flow conversations with women in a social setting.
I'm quite introverted in a way, but get me talking and comfortable... they'll regret it haha! Even if I don't go this weekend, I've still won because I have my plan.
This is not a sign of giving up, this is a sign of growth. Let's go!
