Hi everyone, over the weekend I have finally found the time to start watching the recent developer conferences. I would like to share my ideas, and ask you for your ideas and clarifications
First of all, the famous Open AI conference that has happened already a while ago. (November 6)
I noticed that I have somehow missed a couple of details like the fact that GPTs not only store data (RAG) but can also take actions.
Second, the keynote of the Microsoft CEO at the Ignite 2023 (November 14)
A lot of important points, some hardware news, but on the GenAI side mostly the new tools:
Cooperation with Mistral
Something about a NVidia AI Factory, that I did not quite understand
Third, the presentations at the AWS re-invent (November 27)
There are a couple of keynote speeches, I have not had the time to wathc them, no idea which is the most interesting and important one.
in any case the big GenAI news is: afaik the presentation of Q, something like ChatGPT from Amazon apparently
Here a summary, from a website:
please add on important points that I have missed
Has anyone else also looked at these developments, or was there even a thread about it already?
Which announcements do you find most interesting? And what is your position on the opensource vs. prorietary divide? (an interesting video about OpenGPT vs Open Assistant
Final note from my side: with Microsoft Copilot, i.e. the integration of OpenAI and Azure in Microsoft365 Microsoft will definitely have a huge leverage in the coming AI race.
