China’s Zhipu AI Launches Free AI Agent

Chinese startup Zhipu AI has introduced a free AI agent, AutoGLM Rumination, capable of research, web searches, and report writing. The company claims its new GLM-Z1-Air model is highly efficient, using a fraction of the computational resources of competitors. Zhipu AI’s latest large language model, GLM4, reportedly outperforms OpenAI’s GPT-4 on several benchmarks. The company recently secured significant government-backed funding.
