What fills your cup? 🌿
Before giving to anyone this week — try this: pause. One breath. One question — is there enough in me to pour from right now? If yes — give. If no — fill it first. Even five minutes counts. For me, it's dancing. What's yours? 👇 Drop it below.

A big season is coming — & there's something here for everyone
Hi everyone — for those who are new here, I'm Taline. I'm a somatic movement facilitator, dance movement therapist in training, and DJ based in Sydney. This community is where I bring it all together: dance, healing, and celebration. I wanted to share what's coming up this season — because there's a lot, and I think there's something here for you. These last few weeks running Anchor in the Storm have been really powerful. "I haven't felt my heart for a while like that. It was so good to feel it again. " Witnessing real AHA moments has reminded me exactly why this work matters. If you've been curious, Round 2 begins 15 July — and there's a free taster on 8 July if you want to feel it for yourself first. And because life isn't only the deep stuff — Soul Dance is back. In person, online, and in the mountains. Here's everything: 🌊 Anchor in the Storm — Free Taster · Wednesday 8 July · Free A free 60-minute online somatic movement session. Maybe you've heard the word "somatics" and wondered what it actually means. Maybe you're curious but not sure if it's for you. Here's what I can tell you: it's not what you expect. And it's more powerful than you'd imagine. I've been studying somatic movement and dance movement therapy for three years, and what I offer isn't a set of exercises — it's a whole journey. We check in with the body, move through breathwork and visualisation, warm up with intentional somatic movement, explore a theme through guided and free movement, and close with integration — sometimes through journalling or drawing, sometimes just stillness. When you let the body lead, it reveals things the mind has been trying to figure out for years. I've built a 6-week series around this — Anchor in the Storm: Somatic Movement for Collective Overwhelm — beginning Wednesday 15 July, 7:30pm AEST. Weekly sessions of 60–75 minutes, online. But first — come try it free. Wednesday 8 July · 7:30pm AEST · Online · Free Register here → https://taline.au/events

What brings you back to the shore? 🌊
Most sensitive people know the feeling of being pulled off centre. A friend in crisis. A news story that won't leave. A situation that hooks into you before you've even had time to decide whether you have the capacity for it. And suddenly you're out there — exhausted, trying hard, going nowhere. The current stronger than you expected. The shore further away than you remember. This is what compassion fatigue actually feels like in the body. Not a moral failing. Not too much sensitivity. Just — a rip current. Deceptive from the shore. Powerful once it has you. The thing they teach you about rips is this: you don't swim against them. You swim sideways — out of the current — until you find calmer water. And then you make your way back. And certainly not go in to save someone in the rip, unless you are a strong swimmer and have a paddle board or floatation device. But first, you have to know where the shore is. And you have to know what brings you back to it. Not in theory. In your body. The specific things that return you to yourself — to your own weight, your own rhythm, your own ground — when the world has pulled you too far out. For some people it's movement. A walk, a dance, a shake of the hands. For some it's silence. Or a particular song. Or bare feet on grass. For some it's connection with friends. For some it's a boundary named — an honest "I can be here for an hour, and then I need to go." For some it's a small act of directed energy — writing a letter, signing a petition, doing the one thing that transforms helplessness into something useful. None of these are about caring less. All of them are about staying in the water longer, more sustainably, without losing the shore. So I want to ask you — genuinely: What brings you back? What is the thing — or the few things — that reliably return you to yourself when the world has pulled you too far out? Drop it below. Even one word. 👇 This is the territory we explored in Session 5 of Anchor in the Storm — Compassion Without Collapse. 🌊
