All the Dramione fanfics I've read and what I think about each
I started with Manacled (baptism of fire, if you must know). Manacled.... Is the BEST book to go into Dramione with... Because it BREAKS YOU INTO A MILLION PIECES and then you get to heal yourself with a million more Dramione fanfics hahhah I really loved it, I think it's a must read, especially if you want to be part of the Dramione community. Manacled is an ACTIVE WAR alternate universe where pretty much everybody died. Everybody. Except Hermione of course, and it has a lot of elements from the Handmaid's tale! It was later adapted into a published book called Alchemised, which I have not read because I don't want to suffer. This book to me felt like a GOOD, LOOOONG Orgasm. Very good descending curve. Afterwards I read Secrets and Masks. If Manacled was like one giant Orgasm, this one was a lot of smaller ones. It's super entertaining, it has so many different plot lines and important characters, so much to unearth and a beautiful ending. I would 100% read this one again. This is also an Active War alternate universe. If I remember correctly, everythin up until book 6 is canon and then it deviates. Hermione is this badass warrior for the resistance and she gets kidnapped by... who do you think? hhahaha the main theme, for me, was BELONGING and family. Then I read Measure of a Man. Listen. This is the best fucking book in existence, ok? Nothing is better written, nothing is more captivating, nothing is more exquisitely developed. It's a sloooooooow burn, the author says so herself. But omg so fucking worth it. There's so many symbolic elements and it's a more mature book. I basically didn't eat or sleep (or work lol) for like 2-3 weeks until I finished it. MUST MUST MUST READ. This is an AFTER war alternate Universe where the characters are already in their 30s and DRACO HAS A SONNNN. This is actually super important for the plot. WARNING: Draco takes his sweet time showing up, but just do yourself a favor and read it. Please. The last one I read is called Damaged Goods. The story was good! I really enjoyed it! But the writing left me wanting. I would still recommend it tho! It's a post-war alternate universe that deals with PTSD. Hermione goes back to Hogwarts for higher education because she wants to craft a potion that will remove the scar Bellatrix gave her. It's a beautiful story about healing and dealing. And honestly the writing flaws didn't take away from the story.
