Window of Tolerance
Feeling “too much”… or completely shut down? It’s not a character flaw — it’s your nervous system doing its job. 🔴 Hyperarousal = too ON (fight/flight) • reactive • tense • anxious • overwhelmed 🔵 Hypoarousal = too OFF (freeze) • numb • disconnected • stuck • shut down 🟢 Window of Tolerance = where you feel like you again • calm enough to think • connect • communicate ✨ The goal isn’t to never get stressed… it’s learning how to come back. If you want simple tools to regulate + return to your window, ➡️ follow + join my free Crafting Calm community 💛 Comment 🔴🟢🔵 — which one have you been in lately? #nervoussystemregulation #windowoftolerance #fightflightfreeze #healingjourney #groundingtools #emotionalregulation #therapytools #craftingcalm

Window of Tolerance
It's Okay to Be Here Quietly
You don't need to introduce yourself. You don't need to post. You don't need to explain why you're here. If all you have is energy for reading, that's enough. If you save tools and come back later, that's okay. If you step away and return when you need support, you're still welcome. This space is here to support you, not demand your attention or measure your effort.

A Simple Rest for Hard Moments
When stress rises, try this together: 1. Pause the moment (no explaining) 2. Place one hand on your chest 3. Take one slow breath in through your nose 4. Exhale longer than you inhaled Even one breath can interrupt overwhelm. You don't need to calm all the way down. You just need to soften the moment. If you found this post helpful, I encourage you to save it for later when you may need to revisit the practice.

If Your Family Feels "On Edge," This Might Be Why
Stress in families doesn't always look loud. Sometimes it looks like: -Irritability after school -Shutdown at bedtime -Decision fatigue -Snapping, followed by guilt These aren't character flaws. They're nervous systems asking for support. Here, we focus on prevention. Not fixing, not blaming, not forcing calm.
