How to builed a successfull youtube Channel
Here are 8 basic pieces of advice that will increase your chances of success when building a YouTube channel:
Upload frequency: People will tell you that upload frequency doesn’t matter; however, it does impact a channel's ability to grow a core audience, which is one of the most important factors early in a channel’s career. My typical advice is to not leave more than a week between uploads.
Upload quantity: If you don’t upload enough, you’re less likely to be discovered by people, as there are fewer videos for the algorithm to choose from when trying to suggest you to an audience.
Blaming the algorithm: If you’re not growing, don’t blame the algorithm, and don’t blame yourself—blame both. You still have a lot to learn about how audiences consume content, and the algorithm doesn’t always know which audience will enjoy your content.
SEO Advice: Many strategists will push the SEO narrative down your throat, but in reality, it has a very limited impact on your growth. Figure out what people are interested in and create titles that reflect that interest.
CTR & AVD: Your AVD and CTR metrics will constantly fluctuate and won't always accurately represent how well your video is performing. Your CTR might be lower than usual because YouTube believed a wider audience would be interested in your content, and your AVD might be lower than usual because the newer audience wasn't as willing to watch for as long.
Using short-form to build long-form: If you want to grow a long-form audience, then make long-form content. Don’t assume that a short-form audience will convert to long-form and give you that “initial boost.”
Thumbnail design: Beginning creators often create their own thumbnails with minimal Photoshop skills. Note that a poorly designed thumbnail doesn’t just struggle to capture attention; it often sets the tone for the quality of content you’ll deliver.
Video length: Don’t obsess too much over your video length; however, for long-form content, you want to give the viewer a packed experience, which often results in longer (10m+) videos. Four-minute videos often don’t provide this unless you’re a skit channel. Also, try to remain consistent in length so you keep attracting the same kind of viewer and become part of their routines.
I’ll acknowledge and accept that there’s always an exception to each of these guidelines, but if you want to increase your chances of succeeding as a creator on YouTube, you’ll find that all of these tips will help. Don’t assume you’ll be the outlier who makes it without regard for these tips
