Let's Get To Know Each Other!
WHAT DO YOU DESIRE?!
"Every desire we chase is just a search for a feeling. We do not really want "it", we want how "it" makes us feel." - Harry B. Joseph This really made me stop and take a look at my desires. Deep diving into those seemingly superficial desires can reveal so much about what we are missing in our emotional life. We, as humans are so conditioned to look at the surface of things, at our material world to try to find the next thing that will make us happy for about 0.35 seconds, and then we are on to the next thing. We are never taught to look deeper. To FEEL deeper. To see where that desire comes from and where it can lead. This week I challenge us to look into ourselves when we think about a desire, and ask these questions: 1. When was the first time I decided I wanted/needed "insert desire here" 2. What do I think I will get out of achieving / having "insert desire here" 3. What feeling am I hunting for by wanting "insert desire here" 4. How can I take the shortcut and go directly to the feeling without having to chase "insert desire here"

How Do You "Read"?
But Have You Looked In The Mirror Though..?
📖 "Let one not seek others' faults, nor what others have done or left undone. Rather, let one consider what one has done or left undone." — Dhammapada, Verse 50 🤔 This teaching encourages self-reflection rather than judgment of others. Focusing on others' flaws can create negativity and distract us from our own growth. By turning attention inward, we nurture humility and personal responsibility, fostering inner peace. 🏃🏻‍♀️ Today, if you find yourself criticizing or judging someone else, pause and bring the focus back to your own actions and attitudes. Reflect on what you can improve within yourself, cultivating empathy and reducing unnecessary judgment. 🧘🏻‍♀️ "May I look inward and focus on my own growth. May I release judgment of others and turn my energy toward compassion and self-awareness."

Be Here, Stay Here!
📖 "Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." — Buddhist Teaching 🤔 This teaching encourages living fully in the present. Dwelling on the past can bring regret, and excessive focus on the future often leads to worry. By bringing attention to the present, we embrace life as it is, finding clarity and peace in the here and now. 🏃🏻‍♀️ Throughout your day, practice grounding yourself in the present. If you catch your mind wandering to past mistakes or future concerns, gently bring your focus back to what’s in front of you. Notice the colors, sounds, and sensations of the moment. This simple practice can help reduce stress and enhance your sense of well-being. 🧘🏻‍♀️ "May I let go of the past and release worries about the future. May I find peace and joy in each present moment, fully alive in the here and now."
