Guitar Basics w/Rene is happening in 3 days
🌟 Coming Up Inside Grandparents Corner 🌟
Many grandparents today are hearing more and more about homeschooling. Maybe your grandchildren are already being homeschooled. Maybe your adult children are considering it. Or maybe you're simply curious about what homeschooling actually looks like in today's world. On June 10th, yours truly will be joining @Anna Murrietta for a thoughtful conversation about homeschooling, learning at home, and the important role grandparents can play along the way. Together we'll explore: 🌿 How homeschooling works in today's world 🌿 The unique role grandparents can play in a homeschool journey 🌿 Simple ways grandparents can support learning at home without becoming the teacher 🌿 Creative ideas that strengthen both learning and connection 🌿 How everyday moments can become meaningful learning opportunities One of the questions we'll be exploring is: ✨ How does homeschooling really work... and where do grandparents fit in? Whether your grandchildren are already being homeschooled, considering homeschooling, or you're simply curious about how learning at home works, this conversation will offer practical insight, encouragement, and fresh ideas for staying connected and involved. 📅 June 10, 2026 🕛 12:00 PM Pacific Event 🔗 Conversation with Mary Nunaley This conversation isn't just about education. It's about relationships, connection, and discovering new ways to support your grandchildren as they learn, grow, and explore the world around them. We hope you'll join us.

Guitar 101: The One-Finger Method
Our own @Rene Kerkdyk will be hosting this session in our community on Saturday 6/5 at 11:00 a.m. EST New York. I hope you and your family can join us. Ever wanted to play the guitar but felt overwhelmed by complicated chord charts and sore fingers? Let's skip the frustration and jump straight to the music. In this ultra-beginner workshop, we are throwing out the traditional rulebook and introducing a brand-new, remarkably simple approach to the guitar. You will learn how to navigate the fretboard with ease and play your very first song using just one single finger. No musical background required, no tedious theory—just pure, instant fun. Whether you’ve never picked up an instrument or just want a fresh, stress-free way to play, this workshop will prove that making music is much closer than you think. Bring your guitar, bring your index finger, and let’s play a song! Drop your questions for Rene below!
