I watched a player walk from the dugout to the outfield between innings.I watched him not back up throws.I watched lazy tosses during warmups.No urgency. No intent. No energy. Here’s the reality:High-level baseball isn’t just about tools.It’s about habits. Body language. Effort. Awareness. Accountability. Scouts and coaches are ALWAYS watching — especially when you think they aren’t. The players who make it to the highest levels treat every inning, every throw, every rep like it matters. Because it does. Talent may get attention.But effort, leadership, and baseball IQ get opportunities. If you want to play elite baseball, it’s time to act like it before the spotlight ever hits you.

This email is to my son, promising elite level exposure. He has not played organized baseball in two seasons. These will not increase your chances of getting a scholarship. Find a coach you trust, who has connections, do the right things and if you meet the standard you will find yourself on a college roster.
