The Compassion Circle Community Guidelines 1. The Container of Confidentiality What is shared within the Circle stays within the Circle. To heal the past, we must feel safe in the present. - The Rule: You may share your own breakthroughs and lessons outside this group, but you must never share the names, stories, or identifying details of other members. If you wish to join and remain under a pseudonym, I have no problem with that as long as you stick to these guidelines. 2. Deep Listening Over Quick Fixing In this space, we move away from the "fixer" mindset. We practice Right Speech and Active Presence. - The Rule: Before offering advice, offer presence. Use "I" statements (e.g., "In my experience...") rather than "You should" statements. Often, being witnessed is more healing than being coached. 3. The Distinction of Care This is a space for psychoeducation and communal growth, not a clinical crisis centre. - The Rule: By joining, you acknowledge that our interactions here do not constitute a formal therapist-Client relationship. If you are in an acute crisis, please utilize the professional resources in your local area. 4. Radical Respect & Non-Judgment We are all a blend of our past conditioning and our future potential. We welcome all backgrounds, identities, and stages of the journey. - The Rule: Practice "Curiosity." If someone says something that triggers you, look inward at the trigger before responding outward to the person. Harassment or discriminatory language will result in immediate removal. 5. The Commitment to Congruence We are not here to perform "spiritual bypass" or "toxic positivity." We acknowledge the dark to find the light. - The Rule: Be honest about where you are. It is okay to not be okay. We value authenticity over "enlightened" posturing. 6. No Solicitation (The Sacred Space) To maintain the purity of the "Circle," this is not a place for self-promotion or "networking" in the traditional sense. - The Rule: Do not DM members to sell services or products. This space is dedicated solely to the practice of compassion and personal transformation.
