Waiting until they're starving to eat.
Here's what I learned the hard way (after years of being "healthy" but constantly hungry):
Your blood sugar doesn't care that you're busy. When you skip breakfast or go 5+ hours between meals because you're deep in mom mode, your body goes into panic mode. And that's when you're standing in the pantry eating chips straight from the bag or hitting the drive-thru because ANYTHING sounds good at that point.
The fix? Eat within 30 minutes of waking up, then every 2-3 hours throughout the day. Mini meals with protein, carbs, AND fats.
I know what you're thinking - "I don't have time for that."
But here's the thing: it's actually LESS time than dealing with the 3pm crash, the decision fatigue when you're starving, and the guilt spiral after eating whatever you could grab fastest.
Pre-packaged hard-boiled eggs + an apple + handful of nuts = 2 minutes. That's a mini meal.
When I finally started eating this way (instead of trying to "be good" and restrict), I lost 20 pounds. Not from eating less - from eating smarter and more consistently.
Your body isn't the enemy. Feed it regularly and it'll stop fighting you.
