Paid vs Free?
Hey everyone. Does anybody have any thoughts (or even better - data) on whether or not a free versus straight up paid community is the best first step to build my business/community?
I spent 17 years in financial markets and I'm now trying to build my own business, so bear with me - I'm a noob!
Here's my thoughts for what it's worth:
The offer- 'Crypto Kickstarter: Easily build your first £1,000 crypto portfolio and lock in your first winning investment—in 30 days, without stress or high risk'
My plan after initially inviting a number of free lifetime members, is to charge £10/month or £100/year. They will easily recoup that investment from what I teach.
My belief is that some form of financial commitment is better than nothing, to keep them engaged. I also think if I'm giving away loads of free value via YouTube (the ongoing plan), I don't want to give them more free value in the community, only to lose a large percentage of them in the process of upgrading to the higher tier offer (yet to be built).
Any thoughts from you legends out there, would be greatly appreciated.
