Private vs Public Profile/Group - FREE to all if public?

Am I the only person that did not know that if your Group Profile is PUBLIC... anyone can find and join and get access to your classroom for free?

I set my group to public for SEO purposes thinking that would help with exposure.

I simply thought people could SEE the community, but would need to PAY to join it!

Someone showed me that if PUBLIC - anyone could search my program name and get access for free!

Is there a way to make the profile or group show in SEO... but still make them PAY to get access?

Just curious!
