I’m the founder of Ugly Monkey Comics and Comic Collector Academy, and I’ve been buying, selling, and collecting comics since 2009.
Over the years, I’ve learned that comic collecting can be an incredible hobby—but it can also be confusing as hell. Grades, variants, key issues, CGC vs. CBCS, pressing, cleaning, storage, values…there’s a lot to figure out, and expensive mistakes are surprisingly easy to make.
I created Comic Collector Academy to help change that.
My goal is simple: help collectors learn the hobby, avoid costly mistakes, and build collections they’re proud of.
I’m not here to pretend I know everything. I’m still a collector, still learning, and I believe some of the best knowledge comes from collectors sharing their experiences with each other.
