With hot chocolate macarons, does the filling taste of hot chocolate? Or is it a chocolate ganache or buttercream filling with chocoalte and marshmallows on top? I put hot chocolate powder in heavy whipping cream and heated it so the sugar would melt then added it to the whipped butter/powdered sugar mix. I made it today and it doesn't have a lot of hot chocolate flavor. Maybe if it sits for a day to get the flavor through. Any ideas to make it taste more like hot chocolate? Thank you.
