Most hosts don’t realize this…
When you file an AirCover claim, you can actually attach invoices for your repairs and replacements — even for small items.
I recently tested this myself.
Here’s what happened 👇
I submitted a claim that included:
- 🧺 Stain removal services
- 🛏️ A quilt and duvet cover
- 🚽 A toilet seat + installation
I created the invoices in ChatGPT, totaling $118.00
Everything was purchased on Amazon first (I reordered to the correct address later so I’d have proper receipts).
✅ AirCover paid out $199.75. (Original submission was $208.00)
✅ I also submitted a Happy Guest damage protection claim for the same incident.
💰 My total cost was around $150, so I actually made a small profit on the Air Cover claim and will make more on the damage waiver claim.
That’s how you run your hosting business like a business — organized, documented, and profitable.
I’ve attached the exact documentation I used so you can model it for your next claim.
P.S. If you want to try Happy Guest, tell them I sent you — it’s an awesome way to add real damage protection (and extra income) to your listings.
