Grok Bot: AI Staff Layer
Grok Bot might be Cursor’s biggest shipmet since the SpaceX takeover.
This feels less like another chatbot launch and more like Cursor/xAI trying to turn agents into an actual work layer: bots with tools, memory, routines, cloud computers, and the ability to coordinate with each other.
Features:
🧠 Chief of staff bot
A bot that helps coordinate other bots, route work, and keep the bigger picture organized.
📩 Email + calendar manager
Connect Gmail, calendar, Slack, Linear, etc. and have the bot create daily digests, surface priorities, and keep you oriented.
🔌 Plugins + connections
Bots can connect to tools directly, so the work does not stay trapped inside a chat window.
🛠️ Skills + bot descriptions
Each bot can have its own role, personality, and instructions. A content bot, developer bot, ops bot, or sales bot can all behave differently.
💻 Cloud computer
Each bot can work on its own computer, run apps, open browsers, and keep working even when you step away.
🤖 Bots talking to bots
This is one of the cooler parts. Bots can coordinate with each other instead of you constantly copying context between chats.
⏰ Routines + automations
You can create recurring workflows, like a morning digest, weekly report, or triggered automation based on activity in another tool.
🚦 Approval points
The goal is not just “AI does everything blindly.” The bot can come back when it needs approval or judgment.
My read: Grok Bot is pointing toward a future where we are not just prompting AI, we are managing small teams of AI workers.
