💛 Quick Community Update 🧶✨
First, I want to apologize for not being around quite as much lately. While my vacation was very good and much needed, some ongoing personal things connected to my role as a Pastor’s wife have left me a little more tired than usual. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and understanding over the last little while 💛 🧶 What I’m Working On Right Now I’m currently a bit behind on creating and releasing new patterns, so I’m taking this week and a little bit into next week to really focus on: ✨ Finishing projects ✨ Filming tutorials ✨ Editing videos ✨ Writing and formatting patterns The good news is… 👉 New projects will start releasing again next week, including our first summer project ☀️🧶 And I’m really excited about what’s coming. ☀️ A Thought for June… I’ve also been thinking about doing something special for our VIP members in June… 👕 A “Create Your Own Summer T-Shirt” Challenge 👕 This would be a guided challenge where we work through creating and designing our own summer tops together. Before I start planning it out fully, I’d love to know: 👉 Would this be something our VIP members would be interested in? Let me know your thoughts below 👇✨ Thank you all again for being such a supportive and encouraging community. This truly is a special place 💛 Let’s keep the crank turning 🧶✨

Before you start your project… here’s some points to consider
#1 Make sure to read all the labels: Every Yarn ball comes with their labels that show the weight, composition, dye colour. Read it every time because it says a lot about the yarn ball. #2: Check the Weight of the yarn: It refers to the diameter of the strand. It may be a little intuitive but this is the right to know the strand size without opening the ball. It means that the heavier the yarn, the bigger the yarn strand. #3 Different types of Yarn Colours: The most commonly-used yarn colour is the one with a single uniform hue. But, there are different color types available such as: 1. Tweed: Yarn with the flecks of different colour fibres. 2. Ombre: Yarn with a light and dark shade of a single hue. 3. Multicolored: The Yarn which consists of two or more distinct hues. 4. Self-striping: These are dyed yarn with the lengths of colour that automatically create stripes while knitting or crochet. 5. Marled: This is made from the strands of different -coloured yarn threads that are twisted together. #4. Know this before trying new Yarn: Sometimes trying new yarn can be the worst experience ever. But, Don’t let it get to you. Always start by knitting a small swatch and see how the yarn is behaving, This will help in saving a lot of time. #5. Make a small swatch for Pattern designs: Try out the pattern/design on a small patch that you want to do on the yarn ball. One easy way is to split the pattern/design into rows and columns. Always test-knit your design before starting the whole project. # 6. Use the right Yarn weight: The designs/ patterns work with a specific weight category. In case if you do not use the right weight for the pattern then it may lead to unpleasant and unexpected results. However, if you want to be creative and want to try something new, then go ahead!. #7: Pay attention to Dye lot numbers: Ignoring the dye lot numbers can be a troublemaker, as dyeing can lead to different results, even when you are using the same dye on different lots. Understand that this is how things are. Avoid tune colouring, get skeins from the same dye lot.
