Me
Hi every one. Learning on how to work this as well
I’m NOT going to give up
But I am so frustrated with this hooded cowl that I started on 3/20/26, that I am so tempted to frog it! I haven’t actually worked on it everyday, just thought about it. I see what you mean @Deborah Lewis with YouTube videos. Even with the transcript on, I still can’t figure out how to connect the pieces. So I’ve tried it on to see if I could get the final look - first by just putting the neck warmer part on, then the hood on, and that didn’t help me much. 2nd pic, I’m laughing to keep from crying. Looks like it’s too big for me anyway. It’s going to keep someone warm, it just won’t be me. I’ve worked on it for almost an hour now, watching, rewinding, and pausing the video. I’m going to pause now and try again tonight. https://youtu.be/GTda8uMb0Zc?si=w9hWZ1EzDi6cglrs
I had to “pause for the cause!”
Purpose for my machine knitting, was to be able to efficiently make items for donations to Durham’s Maternal Stress Free Zone in Buffalo, NY. While looking for patterns, practicing stitches, etc. I became very disorganized which is not me. While in Buffalo, I finished creating my spreadsheet that would help me keep track of my yarn inventory and other information. All I had left to do, was fill in the information when I got home. I thought it would be easy to fill in the blanks because I take photos of everything I make and also I had a photo of all of the yarn I had on hand, or at least I thought I did. I knew I had made several items from the Red Heart (painted desert), but I had not taken any photos because I was working from the yarn that I had earmarked for an afghan I had been crocheting. The spreadsheet will always be a work in progress, at least it is now 40% complete. So, instead of knitting, I’ve done more organizing, including getting my steps in via my right arm by winding yarn. Some skeins have been left for the little ones to work on. I’ve labeled my boxes the 1) Brown Family, 2) Variegated Family, and 3) Kwanzaa Family with extras. I’m ready to knit again!
I had to “pause for the cause!”
