Question about different membership levels.

I just joined over the weekend (see my Newcomer post for more details). I want to understand the difference between Premium and VIP membership. Also, is there a monthly option to start with so i can see more of how the group works for me before committing to a year for either? I'd like to jump in, but want to be certain before I take the leap.
