📸 My current setup for taking product photos for the website, etc. entails a single sheet of melamine slid on top of the tablesaw.
Pros:
- Convenient enough, and usually not time consuming
- Consistent
- Large enough for most products
- That perfect white background for clearly showing the product (required for selling on certain platforms, such as Amazon)
Cons:
- Sometimes takes a bit of effort to get out from behind other plywood
- Heavy
- Reliant on the shop lighting or requires extra lights to be brought in, cluttering the shop
- Not quite large enough for the largest products, in which case I have to get creative with vertical white sheets in order to maintain the consistent white background beyond the ends of the melamine
