About Corporate Sustainability Report
A good Corporate Sustainability Reporting means the capacity to communicate the company's financial results and the company's sustainability actions, over a short time but also considering a long period of time. The Sustainability Report must emanate 3 very important things in order to turn out the future stakeholders, and these 3 things are: vision of leadership, key elements of business success and best practices. What do you think about Corporate Sustainability Reports, are they "just boring"? Are they made for "just to be compliant" or they have an important role in society and why?
The food sector needs strong Sustainability approach
I recently read that at COP30 this year ( COP is the largest global United Nations annually event on Climate Change) the food system will be at the top of discussion because it accounts almost 30% of global carbon emissions; mathematical, is a very big procent; and have to mention that carbon emissions are considered the major driver of Climate Change negative effects, causing global warming; Is it possible that the way we manage food sector, production, trading, processing, transport, waste, to have a such a big negative impact on the global climate crisis? What's your opinion?
Good strategy + good communication= Results?
Paradoxical, these days is UN COP30 in Brazil, near the Amazon rainforest and that had to be an event with the indigenous problems at the core of discussions; But yesterday, a group of Indigenous protesters forced their way into the venue to "demand immediate and concrete climate action, protection of the Amazon rainforest, and respect for Indigenous land rights, driven by frustration over what they perceive as inaction and the ongoing destruction of their ancestral lands" The Amazon Rainforest is an unparalleled biodiversity hotspot and a critical "lung" for the Planet. 💡What I want to emphasize, is the fact that even the intention, the strategy is good, if it is bad communicated, and in this case bad communication = lack of communication, the risks are bigger than opportunities to achieve goals; 🌳This happens with Sustainability in Business, than when intentions are good but there is a lack of communication, because there is no strategic insertion of Sustainability in Business ❓What do you think? If the communication had been GOOD, the indigenous would have come to the discussion table? Or not?
