It is a transitional phase between invisibility and competence. At the beginning, effort is disproportionate to feedback. You show up without validation, and that discomfort is unavoidable. In practice, this stage is not about performance but about conditioning/ training yourself to act without external reinforcement.
What looks “cringe” in retrospect is often simply unpolished execution under uncertainty. Eventually 😁
