HMRC debt

Hi Guys, glad to be here.

I have a debt related question with hrmc. I'm late on a payment and am now receiving letters from PDCS, which are a DCA.

Do hmrc sell on the debts to DCA's? Can you take the same approach as you would with credit cards etc?

What are the consequences of going down this route?
