For many of us, this season isn’t just cozy lights and happy moments.
It can bring up grief, family dynamics, pressure, old patterns, exhaustion, and emotions we didn’t plan on carrying into December.
And here’s something important to remember:
That heaviness doesn’t just live in your thoughts — it settles into the body too.
This is exactly why the Releasing the Weight sessions are about more than physical weight.
They’re here for the emotional weight as well — the stuff we swallow, push down, or keep powering through.
If the holidays are bringing up:
- Tightness in your chest or belly
- Cravings that feel emotional, not physical
- Low energy, brain fog, or irritability
- A sense of “I’m carrying too much right now”
Try using the sessions this way:
- Choose one short session (even 10 minutes is enough)
- Let your body soften instead of fixing anything
- Release the pressure to “enjoy” the season perfectly
You don’t need to wait until January to feel lighter.
You’re allowed to support yourself now.
🍲 Golden Calm Soup
(anti-inflammatory • soothing • grounding)
This is one of my go-to soups when my body feels inflamed, puffy, or emotionally heavy. It’s warming, gentle on digestion, and calming for the nervous system.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil or coconut oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger (or 1 tsp dried)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 zucchini, chopped
- 1 cup cauliflower florets (optional)
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- Pinch of black pepper (helps turmeric absorb)
- Sea salt to taste
- Optional: squeeze of lemon or lime at the end
- Optional protein add-in: white beans, lentils, or shredded chicken
How to make it
- Warm oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and ginger.
- Stir in turmeric and black pepper.
- Add vegetables and broth. Simmer gently for 15–20 minutes.
- Add greens if you like (spinach or kale) and finish with a squeeze of citrus.
Eat it warm. Eat it slowly.
This isn’t about restriction or fixing yourself.
It’s about sending your body a clear message:
we’re safe, we’re supported, we can soften now.
Pair this soup with a Releasing the Weight session and notice what shifts — not just physically, but emotionally too.
You’re not alone in this season.
Let the tools support you. 💛
