Kiting on the Southern Hill
It has been observed, on the hill to the south of the castle, overlooking the mask orchards, members of the castle's staff and residents have taken to flying their hand-crafted kites.
The kite flyers are becoming increasingly competitive (most notable Brother Kalvin from the nearby monastery/brewery with his ornate crucifix kite and senior guardsman Jim Gordon, who appears to have a bat on a leash) thus far only competing by trying to show off their impressive kites and kite skills, keeping their kites airborne for as long as possible, but it is surely only a matter of time before some sort of kite arena is constructed and the kites are pitted against each other.
Residents are invited to fly kites of their own creation, or simply to watch and report of the ongoing activities of the kite flyers.
