I read an article about how Gen Z is reshaping cannabis retail. The big takeaway?
They’re not coming in to “get blasted.”
They want control, clarity, predictable effects, clean branding, and straight answers.
And honestly… I’m seeing the same thing with one of my own clients — a Gen Z veterinarian.
Super sharp, but very much:
“Just tell me what this notice means, what happens next, and what the steps are.”
No hype. No panic talk. No fluff.
It lines up perfectly with what the article said:
- They’re more educated before they even show up
- Money stress is real
- They want structure
- They ask more questions
- They avoid anything that feels chaotic or salesy
And this is creeping into tax resolution, big time.
Younger clients don’t want the old fear-based IRS messaging.
They want calm, simple, step-by-step guidance they can actually follow.
Cannabis retailers already adjusted — more education, clearer sections, cleaner branding.
We should be adjusting too.
Anyone else seeing this with younger clients?
More questions?
More need for structure?
Less tolerance for drama?
Curious what everyone’s noticing.
