The Definition of Swimming
There are no silly reasons for being afraid.
An understanding is missing.
It makes complete sense to be afraid of water until you know how the water
works and how to be in control of & in it.
Being able to swim freestyle is NOT "knowing" how to swim.
Swimming USED to be taught safety first... the definition of safety was a CLEAR: "You are 100% comfortable in water above your head". Then, in the 1990's swim curriculum changed because it was taken over and taught by competitive swim coaches and programs. Competitive coaches teach freestyle.
But being able to swim freestyle in 4 feet is NOT "knowing" - it's repeating a technique process that breaks down [understandably so] when the brain is no longer comfortable. ie. you turning around.
We are swimming only when we can apply this skill with water above our heads.
If this resonates with you, PLEASE watch my video and comment below.
