๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ LinkedIn Engagement Pod Best Practice and Rules
WHY PARTICIPATE:
Engaging with other career coaches is an amazing way to grow your LinkedIn and add value to others. Remember that other career coaches are not your competition. Our number one competition is job seekers who do not use a career coach. By engaging with each other, we elevate and normalize career coaching.
I can personally say that I would not have grown my LinkedIn to over 100K if it had not been for the collaboration of coaches like Adam Broda and Reno Perry.
BEST PRACTICES and RULES:
  1. TO RECEIVE, YOU MUST GIVE: Don't expect others to like and comment on your post if you are not doing it back. I recommend you pick 10-20 coaches to collaborate on a daily basis and build genuine relationships with them. If you have 10-20 coaches who also like and comment on your post in the first hour, you will add rocket fuel to your LinkedIn growth ๐Ÿš€
  2. QUALITY VS QUANTITY: The better your comment, the more value it gives the author and yourself. Commenting things like great posts, a single emoji, etc, is not valuable. The best type of comment you can give is when you add to the post. When you give more context, have a different point of view, or make it about your niche. These types of comments will bring more awareness to both you and the author!
  3. KEEP IT POSITIVE: No trash-talking or negative comments. You don't have to agree with everything everyone in the community says or their point of view on career coaching. But don't trash them, troll them, or leave negative comments. If you don't agree, you can either not engage, give your point of view respectfully, and have the audience decide, or DM them about it and talk about it privately.
  4. USE COMMENTING AS A WAY TO TEST YOUR CONTENT: I have found that some of the best content I have written comes from commenting on other's posts. When I write comments that could be posted, and those comments get traction, I know that when I make a post based on that comment, that post will get above-average engagement. So commenting can be a great way to micro-test content and see how an idea, point of view, or thought will resonate with LinkedIn.
  5. DON'T PROMOTE YOUR STUFF ON OTHERS' POST: Don't make the mistake of promoting your services on others' posts. I have never seen it work, and all you do is destroy value for the author. Lose-lose vs. Win-Win, which is what this community is all about!
