Do ATS systems really auto-reject candidates?

I’ve recruited both externally and internally for companies in APAC and NA, and I’ve never seen this happen.

A lot of recruiters who I respect have said that it’s a myth.

And yet a lot of career coaches say otherwise. Does anyone have any direct experience with this?
