Today’s Journaling Prompt:
“What’s the first thought that tried to control my morning — and do I want to believe it?”
💬
Raw Truth Lesson
Let’s be real — anxiety doesn’t always start with panic attacks. Sometimes it starts with one quiet thought the moment you open your eyes.
That whisper that says:
“You’re already behind.”
“You should’ve done more.”
“Here we go again.”
Before your day even begins, your thoughts already want to lead you into overthinking. But here’s the truth — you don’t have to believe every thought that walks into your mind.
That first thought is often fear dressed like logic. It’s your brain trying to protect you from pain, but it ends up trapping you instead.
So pause. Ask yourself — do I want to believe this today?
If not, you have the power to rewrite it.

Your Reflection Space
Take a deep breath, grab your journal, and write:
- What was my first thought this morning?
- How did it make me feel — heavy, rushed, scared, numb?
- Do I want to believe it?
- If not, what truth will I choose instead?
🖊 Example:
“My first thought was ‘I don’t want to deal with today.’
I felt pressure and sadness.
My truth: I can take today one step at a time. I don’t have to handle it all at once.”

Butterflii Haven Reminder:
You’re the pilot of your morning — not your thoughts.
Before your anxiety takes off, stop at this gate, sip your coffee, breathe, and remind yourself that you’re still in charge of where your mind lands today.
